The Work-Family Roles Dynamics during Home-Based Teleworking

Teleworking from home gives workers some degree of temporal and spatial flexibility, at the same time, poses consequences in terms conflicts demands, requirements, expectations, behaviors forces associated with both work roles family roles. This integrative literature review investigated conditions or that are responsible for bi-directional inter-role conflict outcomes when employees teleworking home, by synthesizing new grey about work-family home-based teleworking. The systems which organizational, personal, spatial, temporal, technological, psychological, familial crux work-to-family family-to-work as they either cause friction smoothness to transition vice versa during act catalysts inhibitors (family) (work) findings this were synthesized into dynamics model incorporating concepts physical sciences. provides insights teleworkers ensue systems. article also offers a definition based on knowledge literature. posits explanations conflict. theory yields ideas questions future research implications human resource management.
